This project references 1950’s Californian architecture and is unique in its siting – straddling a steep coastal ridge with views over the beach and ocean. We took advantage of the maximum allowable height limit which resulted in the staggering form of discreet living boxes on “sexy legs”.
An exposed super-structure in cantilevered steel, this project involved considerable architectural steel detailing. The result is a refined building solution to a set of complex site and logistical problems.
